Article 727 — Preserving Debtor’s Rights

1/ The trustee in bankruptcy, on assuming office, shall take all steps to preserve the rights of the debtor. 2/ The trustee in bankruptcy shall enforce registration of mortgages and other security interests where registration has not been enforced during reorganization or winding up by the debtor after the declaration of bankruptcy; the mortgage shall be registered in the name of the bankrupt estate by the trustee in bankruptcy on proof of his status.
