Article 744 — Mistake.

(1) He who committed a petty offence may not plead as justification ignorance of the law or a mistake as to right (Art. 81). (2) If he acted under a proven mistake of fact which excluded knowledge or intention to commit an offence he shall not be liable to punishment (Art. 80).
