Article 515 — Spreading of Animal Diseases.

(1) Whoever intentionally spreads an animal disease among domestic animals or poultry, bees, game, fish or wild animals the species of which are protected by law, is punishable with simple imprisonment or fine. (2) Where the criminal: a) has acted maliciously; or b) has intentionally caused substantial damage, the punishment shall be simple imprisonment for not less than three months. (3) Where the crime is committed negligently, the punishment shall be simple imprisonment not exceeding six months or fine.
