Article 30 — Examination of witnesses by the police.

(I) The investigating police officer may. where necessary, summon and examine any person likely to give information on any matter relating to the offence or the offender. (2) Any person so examined shall be bound to answer truthfully atl questions put to him. He may refuse to answer any question the answer to which would have a tendency to expose him to a criminal charge. (3) Any statement which may be made shall be NCorded.
