Article 132 — Plea of accused.

( I) After the charge has been read out and explained to the accused, the presid- ing judge shall ask the accused whether he pleads guilty or not guilty. (2) Where there is more than one charge the presiding judge shall read out and explain each charge one by one and shall record the plea of the accused in respect of each charge separately. (3) The plea of the accused shall be recorded as nearly as possible in the words of the accused.
