Article 186 — Appeal where injured partv claims compensation.

(I) Where the court refuses to grant compensation under Art. 100 Penal Code the injured party may appeal against such decision. (2) Where the court grants compensation the accused may appea1 against such decision. (3) An appeal shall lie against the amount of compensation awarded in accordance with the provisions of Art. 2153 Civil Code. (4) An appeal under this Article shall be heard by the criminal court of appeal where there is an appeal against conviction or sentence. but shall be heard by the civil court of appeal where there is no appeal against conviction or sentence or such appeal is withdrawn.
