Notwithstanding Article 90 (1), (3) and (4) of the Criminal Code of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, where any offence stipulated under this Part is committed by juridical person, 1/ the penalty shall be fine from Birr 50,000 to 500,000 for a crime punishable with fine; 2/ when the penalty provided for is imprisonment, the penalty shall be: a) a fine not exceeding 50,000 Birr for a crime punishable with simple imprisonment not exceeding three years, b) a fine not exceeding 100,000 Birr for a crime punishable with simple imprisonment not exceeding five years, c) a fine not exceeding 150,000 Birr for a crime punishable with rigorous imprisonment not exceeding five years, d) a fine not exceeding 200,000 Birr for a crime punishable with rigorous imprisonment not exceeding ten years, e) a fine of up to the general maximum laid down in sub-article (1) of this Article for a crime punishable with rigorous imprisonment exceeding ten years. 3/ Where fine is expressly provided as punishment for a crime, it shall be five fold.
